Today is all about making your life easy. Laziness, for the WIN. Am I right??
I got the genius idea for this post from my girl Alexis, who blogs at Hummusapien. I wish all bloggers did this! If there was a prize for trolling the internet for recipes, I probably would’ve won it like five years ago. Heck, pinterest has even made a living out of it. Don’t tell me you’ve never spent hours and hours pinning things then had the realization that “SH*T I’VE LITERALLY SPENT HOURS ON THIS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING”. And then you make those recipes approximately .001% of the time. Been there, done that.
Think about it. Normally, you go to a blog, and you see the top five or so recipes they have on there. But how do you know what the best and favorite recipes of that blogger are?? HOW!? This is how, my friends. They have a post about their favorite recipes on their entire site, and then you don’t have to go sifting through to find what you think are their favorites!
Genius. Props to you, Alexis.
I get asked all the time what my favorite recipes are. It’s like asking me to pick between my favorite Harry Potter books, or Mean Girls quotes. Answer: I love them all!! How could I possibly pick? And then you think, well, Ron is pretty moody in the fourth book, Umbridge drives me up a freaking wall in the fifth book, and the seventh book can get pretty depressing when everyone’s being offed. Is this Game of Thrones, or what?!
Enough with the pop culture references. End of story: I decided. So here are the recipes from my site that I make ALL the time, and you should too! Obviously. Don’t worry other recipes (and Harry Potter books), I still love you guys too. Always.

1. Secret Recipe Guacamole (Avocado Crack Sauce)
Um, obviously this had to be the first recipe I included in this roundup. If you know me at all, you know how completely and utterly OBSESSED I am with all things avocado and guacamole. I put this sh*t on EVERYTHING. It only took me and my best friend about 100 times to actually write the recipe down, so you know it must be good. Recipe here!
2. Pan-Fried Plantains & Basil Chimichurri Sauce
My #2 obsession, right there up next to avocados, is plantains. Green plantains, brown plantains, yellow plantains (this recipe), you name it, I’ve made them and I LOVE them. Especially as dipping vessels for sauces like guacamole (see above obsession) and chimichurri sauce, obviously. They’re probably the best post-workout food ever. Just sayin’. Recipe here!
3. Smoky Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork
The first time I ever made pulled pork myself was when I did my first whole30 back in February 2013…and I’ve been making this Smoky Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork ever since. Whenever we have people over, this is what I make, because people request it every time! It’s that freaking good. And there is nothing better than coming home from work starving with this having simmered to a pull-apart deliciousness in your crock pot all day. Recipe here!
4. Tostones (Fried Green Plantains)
Yep, you guessed it: more plantains. The unripe, green ones this time! Which, if you didn’t know, are totally different taste-and-cooking-method-wise than the other kinds. Green ones are more like potatoes: stick to your ribs, crispy, salty, golden brown and freaking DELICIOUS. Plantains are the new (healthy) french fries. Also delicious with guacamole or chimichurri and slow cooker pulled pork! Recipe here!
5. Spicy Buffalo & Bacon Roasted Cauliflower with Paleo Ranch Dressing
Ok. #3 and then I’ll stop with the obsessions. But this Paleo Ranch Dressing? #cantstopwontstop. The obsession is REAL. When I was little (sorry, younger. I’m still little), the only vegetables I ate were raw carrots, and only if they had ranch dressing on them. This a junk-free, totally upgraded and more-than-delicious version of your childhood favorite. Now put that ranch dressing with buffalo sauce? DYING. Put those two sauces on anything and I’ll eat them. Anything. Especially this roasted cauliflower because it has BACON TOO!! Tastes like buffalo chicken! Recipe here!
5. Buffalo Chicken Bacon & Ranch Skillet with Roasted Brussels Sprouts
I told you the ranch dressing + buffalo sauce obsession was real. So I figured, why not make it a one skillet meal, with all your veggies and proteins in there already? BOOM, instant winner winner chicken dinner. Literally because there’s chicken in this baby. HA I’m so punny. (ok, ok. I’ll stop). But seriously. I usually make a giant batch of this and then hoard it so no one can eat the leftovers but me. Not even kidding. Recipe here!
7. Apple & Herb Roast Chicken
Speaking of winner winner chicken dinner…I know. I said I would stop. But this roast chicken? One of the easiest and most delicious chickens I’ve ever cooked. Which has been a lot. It’s also perfect for prepping a bunch of meals ahead of time with minimal effort! Recipe here!
8. Sunny Sweet Potato Hash
You’ve probably heard me rave about this hash before. How my mom is totally obsessed with it to the point where every weekend/time we go anywhere she’s like OMG LET’S MAKE THE VEGGIE HASH. It’s a running joke in our family. It’s okay, mom, at least you have great taste in your daughter’s recipes 🙂 Get the sweet potato hash recipe here!
9. The BEST Roast Carrots
Roasted carrots are so simple, but SUCH a delicious game changer. Before I discovered plantains, these were my go-to veggie french fries and probably made them at least twice a week for months on end. No joke, I would buy the costco-sized, 5 lb bag and that thing would be gone in a jiffy. Even when I would try and make leftovers, they would magically disappear before they could make it to the refrigerator… Get the recipe here!
10. Paleo No-Bake Almond Joy Cookies
I don’t make desserts that often, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t make these that often. Whenever any kind of potluck or gathering that involves food (aka the only good parties) comes up, you’d better believe I’m making these to bring along. They’re usually devoured before they can even make it around the whole party. Sorry not sorry. Just try and not eat the whole batch yourself while you’re making them! Recipe here!
