Yo, 2018 has been CRAY. Made some amazing friends and even more amazing memories, and you guys survived (okay, let’s hope you thrived during) another year with me on the blog and the brand-spanking new podcast. Yeah, I technically started it in 2017, but we only got an intro and one or two episodes in, so it really started this year. Capisce?
So let’s start off with a little reeeeecap…
First off, the big professional stuff. I finished my clinical internship and got my Licensure as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), ran 3 Whole30 groups and realized Whole30 Coaching is not for me anymore (more on this in the upcoming podcast!), and came to a massive realization about the new direction in my business in which I’ll be going this upcoming year and for many years to come. More on that in an upcoming podcast!
Kept on coaching swimming & became a crossfit coach, and started working with a lot more individual clients on nutrition for performance, GI disorders, and lots more clients who wanted to just work on their relationship with food and their bodies. I. Love. This. STUFF. Oh, and I also did my first (and second) olympic weightlifting meets, which was pretty epic and fun.
TRAVEL: I did a lot of it. In March, went on a week-long swim team trip to St. Petersburg, Florida. In April, went to PaleoFX (and quite literally ate my way through) Austin, Texas. In May, went on a two-week vacay to Iceland and Denmark. In August, went to Park City, Utah for a Whole30 Summit. September brought Expo East in Baltimore and a quick trip to NYC to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, and then the end of November saw me jetsetting down to Orlando for my best friend’s 30th birthday and pretending like we were kids again at Disney and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
I’m kind of tired just thinking about all of it. But it was all AMAZING. All in all, another amazing year of life and on the blog – forever grateful to all of you for following along on the blog and the podcast, and looking forward to another totally epic year with all of you and new, great things to come!
