Homemade Paleo Ranch Seasoning | Real Food with Dana
Last week I talked about how I make meal prep super easy when I’m super busy: I keep a couple of my favorite spice blends and sauces on hand, so when I have staples like Roast Chicken and some veggies or a One-Pan Veggie Bake on hand, all I have to do to change up the flavors every day is to throw on a different sauce (some of my faves: Tessemae’s, Primal Kitchen Foods, and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce) or spice blend, like this Homemade Paleo Ranch Seasoning!

You guys FLIP whenever I post a recipe with ranch. I mean, who wouldn’t? Homemade Ranch is like the new cauliflower rice. When people discovered you could use “riced” cauliflower as a veggie substitute for real rice, they flipped the F out. And now you have a million billion recipes for cauliflower rice out there (guilty: I totally contributed to at least ten of those #notsorry).

The same thing is happening with homemade ranch dressing. But you know me – I couldn’t just stop at a homemade ranch by itself on a recipe. I’ve combined it with buffalo sauce (oooobviously), pesto, chimichurri, sriracha, you name it, I’ve done it. (Not peanut butter. ew.) But sometimes, I don’t have all the fresh ingredients on hand for my homemade ranch, so if I still want that flavor, I throw together this spice blend. I’ve used it on my Zesty Ranch Smashed Potatoes and my Buffalo Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Skillet with Roasted Brussels Sprouts, but I’ve been using it so much lately that it deserves its own recipe. Don’t you think?

Also I’m obsessed with tiny spoons. And bowls. And all tiny kitchen things. Probably because I have tiny hands so it’s basically like normal people using normal sized kitchen utensils. BUT THEY’RE JUST SO CUTE. And this recipe was just too perfect not to use them!

Other ways to use this seasoning? Throw it on some chicken / salmon / shrimp / steak before grilling, baking or roasting. Throw it in a cauliflower rice bowl like the Bowl of Crazy. Throw it on some baked sweet potatoes, or on some perfect fried eggs. Ohhhh I’ve actually never tried that before but it just came it me and you better believe I’m doing that first thing tomorrow morning! Will report back. But I’m sure it’ll be freaking delicious because I haven’t gone wrong with this seasoning yet.

  1. I made this mix 5 days ago and I’ve already used it on oyster crackers, roasted potatoes and popcorn. Best ranch seasoning recipe I’ve ever made BY FAR. Definitely making another batch.
