In our work together, we will use a combination of functional medicine assessments and interventions balanced with non-diet, neutral nutrition, and a weight-neutral HAES approach. We will also be working on cultivating a positive relationship with food and your body, which I believe is an essential piece of our healing.

My philosophy
Everyone in the functional medicine world talks about how “chronic stress is bad for your health.”

In all our sessions, we will work on your health concerns by integrating the principles of functional, neutral nutrition, Health At Every Size™, and weight inclusive, non-diet medical nutrition counseling.
Discovery Session
Book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Session to learn more about my philosophy, how I work with clients, and to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
After the Discovery Session, I will send you a follow-up email with all the details we discussed on the call, and determine how you’d like to move forward.
Initial Session
All clients start with the Initial Session (90 minutes), where we’ll dive into an integrative, holistic approach to your health, nutrition, and medical history. This includes an in-depth assessment of your:
- Current symptoms & main health concerns
- Medical diagnoses
- Food and dieting history
- Body image concerns
- Sleep habits
- The current impact of stress on your health
- Exercise/movement
- Lab work (blood, stool, hormones, other functional medicine testing if you have it available)
- Prescription medications
- Vitamins and supplements.
We’ll discuss your goals for working together, and the main challenges you’ve been struggling with. Together we’ll develop a long and short-term plan for your health, symptoms, your relationship with food and any body image concerns. When our session is over, you will receive detailed notes and handouts to go with your personalized action plan, along with other resources to support you between sessions.
Follow-Up Sessions
Follow-up sessions are where the long-term work is done to create sustainable, healthy habits and a lasting, positive relationship with food and your body.
Follow-ups are typically scheduled around 2-3 weeks apart to provide support on the Initial Session action steps and plan. In these sessions, we will work through what’s going well, what needs some troubleshooting, and where you need more support from me as your clinician.
Every case and person is unique and different, so we will work towards creating a personalized nutrition and integrative health plan to meet your needs. At each session, you will receive a new set of action steps and resources to support you.
